Eating Disorder Basics

Eating disorders are complex conditions that can affect people of different ages, backgrounds, body sizes and identities. This workshop provides an introduction to eating disorders and helps build a better understanding of how they develop, who may be at risk and how they can present.

You'll explore different eating disorder classifications, risk factors and warning signs, prevalence and mortality, screening, eating disorders across diverse populations, and the impact of weight bias. You'll also be introduced to treatment considerations and levels of care, helping you develop a broader and more informed understanding of eating disorders and the people affected by them.
