ONLINE Group Fitness Course - October 6 to 22

The ONLINE Group Fitness Certification Course covers the practical components and additional theory needed to become a certified Group Fitness Instructor. Topics include exercise ideas, choreography, cueing, music, safety, lesson planning, class components and leadership skills. This course is fun and very active so students should be prepared to move. Everyone is encouraged to explore different styles of teaching and will work on creating their own routines. In order to maximize learning and provide adequate practice time, this course is spread out over three weeks to guarantee excellent results. The CFES Group Fitness Manual and Program Booklet (to be purchased directly from CFES) provide chapter quizzes, activities, assignments and an open book exam, to help ensure success and retention of content. Use of Zoom is required.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of the Fitness Theory course.
Requirements: Use of the Group Fitness Manual and Program Booklet are mandatory for this course. Please send an email to cfes@telus.net to order your books and have them mailed to your address, the sooner the better.
Location: Zoom.
NOTE: Classes are scheduled in Pacific Standard Time (PST) and every class is recorded. Live attendance is recommended and preferred but class recordings can be sent if you cannot attend the scheduled times. You are expected to keep up with the homework submissions and completion of the open book exam.
