ONLINE Personal Training Course - July 3 to 19

The ONLINE Personal Training Certification Course is the third and final step in becoming a certified Personal Trainer. Students will learn more advanced theory and will watch videos and instructor demonstrations to be able to put that into practice in a weight room setting. Topics include business and marketing, health screening, fitness assessment, training principles, risk management, program design for health and skill development, counseling, motivating and ethics. It is scheduled in a way to allow students to have plenty of time for reading, absorbing and practicing the material. Please download the latest version of Zoom and familiarize yourself with it.
Additional Course Content: We have added study guide material for the NSCA-CPT (National Strength & Conditioning Association - Certified Personal Trainer) exam into the current Personal Training course curriculum. This will allow students to get a head start and a better understanding of what is required in order to successfully study and pass their closed book exam. If you choose to complete your NSCA-CPT after attaining your BCRPA or CFES PT Certification, let us know and we will guide you in the right direction.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of both Fitness Theory and Weight Training courses. Completion of the Weight Training Practicum is recommended but not necessary.
Requirements: Use of the Personal Training Manual and Program Booklet are mandatory for this course. Please send an email to cfes@telus.net to order your books and have them mailed to your address, the sooner the better.
